Buckden Yorkshire Dales

Buckden is the next village up the River Wharfe from Starbotton. Buckden is part of the parish of Buckden which also consists of the hamlets of Hubberholme, Cray, Raisgill, Yockenthwaite, Deepdale, Oughtershaw, Beckermonds and Greenfield.

Just like Starbotton, Buckden is a village on the Dalesway route. It is a popular destination for walkers, with a great variety of gentle strolls and more strenuous walks - for instance up the Buckden Pike.

The village has a village shop, a tea room and the Buck Inn Hotel and Pub (currently closed).

Buckden Cottage

Croft House is not a Buckden cottage but as Starbotton is only 1.8 miles down the road it is ideally placed to visit Buckden and the area around the village.
